Eyelash extension removal is a service in itself. However, if it's done incorrectly, you may notice a small amount of white residue on your clients' lashes, which can be quite difficult to remove. Ideally, a perfect removal should be achieved without causing eye irritation or leaving any white residue.
Why do these white residues appear?
These white residues are actually pieces of glue that have undergone rapid polymerization. This means that not all of the glue residue was properly removed during removal, and when rinsing, the glue hardened again upon contact with water, leaving these white residues.
How to remove without leaving white residue?
1. Start by applying patches under the eyes to protect your clients' skin.
2. Use a specific removal product like TAKE ME OFF and apply it generously to the glue dots at the root of the lashes.
3. Leave on for 10 minutes.
4. Next, remove the extensions using a lip brush, making sure to remove as much product as possible.
5. Remove the patches placed under the eyes.
6. Use dry cotton pads to gently rub the lashes upwards, being careful to avoid contact with your client's eyes, until no residue of the removal product remains.
7. Finally, double shampoo with a double rinse to ensure that all the removal product has been removed.
